The Fulbright US-UK Summer Institutes are three to four week programmes for US undergraduate students. The ideal candidates are first or second year students who have at least two years of undergraduate study after they finish the program. The US-UK Summer institute is particularly interested in applicants who have had limited opportunities to travel outside the U.S.
During the program students will take coursework at UK institutions, experience cultural and social events, immerse themselves into the thematic fields they have chosen for their program, and meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.
This year’s summer institutes include:
- “Climate change and the environment” at University of Exeter
- “Technology, Innovation and Creativity” at Glasgow School or Arts and University of Strathclyde
- “Identity and Nationhood (through the lens of Wales)” at Aberystwyth University
- “Understanding Northern Ireland” at Queen’s University Belfast
- “Arts, Activism and Social Justice” at University of Bristol
